IP VPN services meeting business demands whilst Ethernet plays complementary role

MPLS-based VPNs are becoming commonplace for enterprise networking to support business-critical applications and convergence, according to a telecommunications expert. "Whilst Ethernet and other network technologies will complement MPLS-based VPNs as we go forward, IP is now firmly established as the future for all voice and data networking," Research director Peter Hall wrote in a report published by Ovum.
