   There are now at least 5 competitive US providers with more than 5,000 fiber-fed buildings, more 20 with more than 1,000.  While there is obviously plenty of overlap that a simple sum doesn’t account for, the sum of on-net buildings for companies I have been able to track now exceeds 100,000.
