    1. VPLS prices decline as much as 39% in established regions

      As more providers roll out Ethernet Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS), prices are falling, but the lack of service maturity and availability make it a very expensive option in developing regions. According to a new TeleGeography report, Western Europe and the United States saw the largest price drops for VPLS services between the first half of 2011 and the first half of 2012. What helped drive down VPLS costs in Europe were two factors: availability and growing competition.
