Today’s announcement was one they got through the Amazon AWS Direct Connect partnership. Courtagen Life Sciences will be using their Ethernet Private Line services to send terabytes of compressed data to their ZiPhyr cloud platform for processing. It’s medical data, DNA information actually, and hence HIPAA requirements are in force and Level 3′s dedicated connectivity is replacing actual physical shipments they relied on in the past.
