Vocus grows H1 profits 20%

(Telecompaper) Australian and New Zealand wholesale IP transit and voice supplier Vocus Communications saw profit in the first half ended 31 December 2012 grow 19.8 percent from a year earlier to AUD 4.18 million. Revenues from ordinary activities went up 40 percent to AUD 30.62 million. Internet services revenues were AUD 12.7 million, up 31 percent, data centre revenues rose 88 percent to AUD 7.5 million, fibre and ethernet revenues grew 152 percent to AUD 5.8 million, but voice revenues fell 35 percent to AUD 4.3 million.
