Comcast has earned Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (CE 2.0) certification from the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), becoming the first service provider to achieve certification. The MEF at the end of January issued its first CE 2.0 certifications to a list of equipment vendors: Accedian, Altera, BTI Systems, Ciena, Cisco, Cyan, FibroLAN, Huawei, Infinera, Juniper Networks, MRV, Omnitron, Overture, PT Inovacao, Pulsecom, RAD Data Communications, Telco Systems, Tellabs, Transition Networks and Transmode.
